MicroVolts Open Beta

Posted: 11 Aug 2010 08:54 PM PDT

The CBT or Closed Beta testing of the Free 2 Play online shooter MicroVolts is now open to lucky applicants that received an email from its publisher in the US, Rock Hippo Productions LTD. If you signed up at the MicroVolts website, i suggest that you check your email and not miss out on this. It’s like Toy story meets Team Fortress 2! MicroVolts is known as HAVE Online in Asia.

Microvolts’ game story is set on a war between toys that originated from four original special-edition figures named MicroVolts, C.H.I.P., Pandora, and Naomi. It didn't take long until they were joined by hundreds of modified toys to fight for viable power sources and dominance over Micro World.

An online shooter where the characters are action figures? Awesome!

Players can choose from hundreds of figures and customize their characters' personalities and appearance. In this play-for-free online shooting game, players can strategize with proper weapon selection in each battle. These weapons will be given freely for the closed beta testing.

Hopefully, Rock Hippo's plans of opening beta testing would push through soon so that more players could enjoy the strategic teamwork that this game brings on.

Gourmet Ranch – Facebook Games

Posted: 11 Aug 2010 07:42 PM PDT

Gourmet Ranch is one of the fastest growing Facebook games today. Created by Playdemic, a newcomer in the game-making market of one of the largest social networks in the world, Gourmet Ranch is a combination of two popular Zynga game concepts – farming from Farmville, and restaurant-running from Cafe World. Awesome, right?

Gourmet Ranch By Playdemic Combines Two Zynga Games In One
Basically with Gourmet Ranch, you will own a restaurant that is strictly organic. Yes, you'd have to farm all of the ingredients you'll need in a dish including crops, animals, and trees. Then can you only cook up and serve dishes in your restaurant which may be set indoor or outdoor.

More about Gourmet Ranch on Facebook after the jump.

But the game won't be forcing you to produce your own fresh veggies and fruits and fat farm animals. With Playdemic's Gourmet Ranch, you can get the best of both worlds or just either of them.

Players who prefer to stick to the Farmville concept have the option of solely planting and reaping crops, and selling their produce to players who may have chosen the restaurant joint over farming.
